Attention Houston Opponauts: the monthly Houston Coffee and Cars will be this coming Saturday, January 4th. I'll be bringing my friend's dark blue Bentley Flying Spur out to the event. If you've been before, answer some questions for me.

What time do most of the cars get there? The website states that the event is from "12:00 AM to 10:00 AM", but I seriously doubt there will be cars lined up at 4 in the morning. Should I get there by 6 or 7 AM?

Also, if you're going, come by and say hello. If you're bringing a car, tell us what vehicle you'll be in. I'll repost this on Thursday and Friday so everyone had an opportunity to see this message.

I'm excited, as this will be my first event. I hope to see y'all there!

I'm bringing my S2000 but I might not display it. And probably 5:30 to be safe getting there and getting a spot

5:30?!?! Oh, my friend will NOT be happy with that. I know right now that I'll have to drive out to his place at 4:15 AM and bang on the door. He's not a morning person.

I suppose the good news is that, if he still wants to do this (and he will, as I'll peer pressure him into it), I'll get to drive the ride out there. He can be a wuss about waking up before sunrise, so it wouldn't surprise me if he wants to sleep on the way up.

Hey! Cars start lining up as early as 6 AM, arriving at 6:15 to 6:30 will get you a decent spot in the area where all the exotics park (above picture, but a bit further in the background). I can't remember the last time the place wasn't packed by 6:45 AM. This event is huge, no other C&C facebook page has as many likes as Houston's does.

Im taking ze wagon this time round. I'm usually there at around 6:30 to 6:45 ish.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably have to drive out to his place in Missouri City to wake his punk ass (and I mean that in the nicest possible way) up, so I'll have to be awake super early. He'll enjoy it once he's there, but getting us there at a reasonable time will be challenging.

Is it BYO Coffee, or do they have a coffee shop/Starbucks out there?

There's tons of parking here at Vintage Park. If you'd like the car to get some attention or exposure, it's ideal to be here at the time I suggested. Otherwise, getting here at 7AM will be fine, but it'll be in parts of the venue where there won't be great parking available. You'll be stuck finding parking in spectator lot, which does net some cool hidden gems there.

It's his baby. He's picking up his brand new Range Rover tomorrow. His daily driver is an Infiniti G37, though.

I haven't spoken to this friend about the Gumball yet. One of my other buddies is the one wanting to run it.

Not a bad life. I don't think he'll ever want to drive the G37 after a week in the Range, though.

He ought to drive that up to Aspen, he'd fit right in. Automatch would love all the wagons out here.
